1. DESS (Digital Empowerment for Special Schools)

Overview

The Digitalizing Education in Special Schools (DESS) Project aims to transform special education in India by integrating technology into every special school. Based on two years of research and pilot testing in two special schools and a rehab center (with over 100 students), DESS is a mission to make learning more inclusive, skill-focused, and consistent for children with special needs

What We Do with DESS

  • Deploy VergeTAB: A child-safe, teacher-controlled therapy tablet tailored for special needs education.
  • Provide access to XceptionalLEARNING: A secure platform for digital therapy and education.
  • Deliver training for educators, therapists, and parents to support implementation and usage.
  • Enable IEP-aligned, individualized learning and vocational skill-building— both in school and at home

2. Project DHRISHTI – (Digital Holistic Resource for Inclusive Support, Hybrid Therapy and Intervention)

Overview

Project DHRISHTI is a technology-driven initiative focused on the early identification, assessment, and ongoing support of children with special needs. It connects schools, parents, and rehabilitation professionals through a streamlined system of screening, individualized education planning, and progress tracking.

When a child is identified through tools like the Prashasth App, the project enables detailed assessments and ensures timely intervention by qualified experts. It promotes collaborative care at school and home while continuously monitoring each child’s development.

Supported by Verge Foundation, Project DHRISHTI creates a scalable model for inclusive education, improved outcomes, and long-term independence.

3. Project ABC

Awareness and Bringing Closer

Overview

Project ABC is a rural outreach initiative focused on closing the gap in early disability identification and intervention across India. In many underserved areas, especially rural regions, children with special needs—particularly those with mobility challenges—miss out on early rehabilitation, leading to lifelong barriers in learning, development, and social integration.

What We Do with Project ABC:

  • Raise Awareness: Promote early identification and timely intervention of developmental delays and disabilities.
  • Empower Families: Educate and support caregivers to become active participants in their child’s growth and inclusion journey.
  • Train Community Workers: Equip ASHAs, Anganwadi workers, and local volunteers to identify red flags and guide families effectively.

By generating data-driven insights, the tool supports personalized intervention plans and integrates seamlessly with therapy and education programs. This ensures timely support, better planning, and improved developmental outcomes.
